How to Disable Protected View in Microsoft Office While Opening Email Attachments or Downloaded Files?

Office 2013 has a new feature that blocks potentially dangerous files. Personally, I find this pretty damn annoying. Office gives you a random error saying "Word experienced an error trying to open the file".
You can unblock individual files by selecting document properties and clicking "unblock":
Protected View is a read-only mode where most editing functions are disabled
Generally, when you try to open Microsoft Office 2010 or MS Office 2013 file (Word, Excel or PowerPoint file ) received as an email attachment, you come across a file format that reads "Protected View" or "Read Mode or Restricted Mode" on the title-bar. And, this file is opened as read-only. To enable editing or change, you are supposed to click on "Enable Editing".
You may also get messages as below:
• This file originated from an Internet location and might be unsafe
•This file originated as an e-mail attachment and might be unsafe
•This file was opened from a potentially unsafe location
•Editing this file type is not allowed due to your policy settings
•Editing this file type is not recommended due to your File Block settings in the Trust Center
•Office has detected a problem with this file. Editing it may harm your computer

Solution:
When you are assured of the file security, the message may appear annoying. Don't worry; we have discovered a way around. Follow the below steps to "turn off Protected View" feature in Office 2010 or Office 2013 version:
1. Open any Office program such as Microsoft Word.
2. Click on "File" menu present in the ribbon.
3. Click on "Options" tab pre-sent in the left sidebar.
4. Navigate to "Trust Center" tab given at the end in left-side pane and then click on "Trust Center Settings". It'll open a new window to cus-tomize Trust Center settings.
